Can gall stones cause bowel issues? Has anyone experienced this?

tremor
luvtropics

I was just told I have large gallstones. I have had these symptoms of Irritable Bowel Syndrome for the past 9 months, and I just wonder if the gall stones are really what was causing my problems. I would eat and then suddenly food was too rich and I’d get crampy and then have an urgent bowel movement- usually diarrhea. I would also get shaky, like tremors, and sometimes chills and nausea.

Have any of you had those sort of symptoms with gall bladder issues? Did it resolve after having it out?

How do I help my child with phobia/fear of fires?

tremor
sequinn24

My daughter, age 7, is sleeping in our room on an air mattress and will not go to sleep until we come and lay down with her. She has an extreme fear of fires after seeing the demonstation of a sped up version of a fire spreading through a room. (the one we all saw during fire safety week at school) She feels that we will not get out of the house in time before the fire spreads. We have been through the whole fire plan, have practiced and she understands what to do in case of a fire. She has been to a fire department and has talked with fire safety professionals. She is obsessive about checking that the stove is off and checks the fire detectors each night before going to bed to ensure the “light” is on and the detector is functional. She has been to doctor and put on acid reducing medication due to ulcer-like symptoms from worry. At first I thought she was just pretending in order to sleep in our room, but she has REAL symptoms of fear such as heart racing/palpatations and tremors.

still looking for info about puppies with leg tremors?

tremor
Kelly

I am still trying to find out more info about one of my pups who has a shaky rear leg. He is fine when he is walking and running and playing, it’s only shaky when he is standing still on it. mostly noticing it on his left leg. He has been to the vet, the vet seems unconcerned about a genetic disease since the symptoms literally came up overnight. I am wondering if anyone knows much about idiopathic leg disorder?
I will be getting x-rays done as soon as he turns 8 weeks old, which is in about 2 weeks from now.
thanks for any info!

Q about tremors and lamictal? / Epilepsy?

tremor
Wildflower

My EX has developed HORRIBLE tremors in his right side, particularly the hand (at least that’s what I’ve noticed)… I mean, it’s to the point where he cannot write/eat with that hand.. He has epilepsy and they have targeted an area on the left side of his brain (temporal lobe) which is where the seizures are originating and where he has pressure/ feels that “something” is there.. the tremors seemed to get worse when they put him on lamictal, but could be coincidence as the tremors are not listed as a side effect?? We are working with neurosurgeons in St. Louis, but it is frustrating with many delays / lack of communication… He has an appt on the 15th of Aug and we were wondering if the tremors are assoc. with the lamictal or what? Any advice (besides the obvious see your doctor) is appreciated.. Thanks!

I used to smoke pot but I got tired of it. Now I am on Klonopin instead and its helping my tremors, burning, tingling, and numbness. Could it be that this can be more addicting than alcohol

Shaking uncontrollably while trying to sleep – anxiety?

tremor
lostinne

This has happened a few times to me and the circumstances seem to be fairly consistent so I’m not sure what it is.

On several occasions I have awakened just after falling asleep, caught a cold draft on the back of my neck, and started shaking uncontrollably for about 15 minutes. The more I resist, the more intense the shaking. I found that the best way to get rid of it is to relax. I can talk and think clearly but it’s really full-body tremors – jaw, neck, upper arms, torso, upper legs/buttocks and is a little scary. It’s like a shiver but much worse. It has happened 3 times when I’m sleeping in a room with several other people. Is this a social anxiety thing? It’s weird. I eventually tire out and fall asleep without a problem. It happens with or without alcohol.
I should also mention that I have had panic disorder in the past and my panic attacks were nothing like this. I am currently on a very low dose of Zoloft. I have told my doctor and he said it was just a fatigue/anxiety kind of thing.
