Anyone have any idea what could be causing my health problems?
Hi there, for the past 3 years i have been experiencing health problems. I am male and 23 years old. My symptoms are – mental confusion, memory problems, muscle pain and weakness, very low sex drive, anxiety, muscle tremors, fatigue and tendonitis in the left arm. I have been to many doctors and they cannot find anything wrong with me. I have had ct and mri scans of head, lumbar puncture, chest xray and a lot of blood tests. My diagnosis is anxiety but i still feel there could be something physical ccausingthese problems. Do all these problems sound anxiety related? Even when im not anxious the problems remain. Anyone have any ideas of something the doctors may not have checked or might of missed. I eat very healthy, dont drink or smoke, and get plenty of sleep. thanks for any help.
Fibro myalgia
depression
aids
or something else.
If a team of doctors don’t know whats wrong with you, no one here is going to give you any more advice.
Make sure you have had your hormone levels checked, other than that just work with your doctors. Definatly get the oppinions from more than one doctor as well or specialist, different doctors know different information and think different ways.
Also I would make an appointment with a therapist. If it is anxiety you will want to be seeing someone regularly untill you can get it under control yourself. Plus having a psychologist evaluate your symptoms might rule out anxiety, doctors after all don’t study psychology.
Anxiety can cause everything you are discribing, you would be suprized what your brain can do when it’s out of wack. Also they might not be all related. Like for instance you might have a problem with your arm that isn’t related to anything else. So they don’t all have to be caused by the same thing.
I reccomend working out if you don’t already do. Excercise really helps fatigue, anxiety, depression, and can help boost sex drive a little bit.
I just reccomend seeing a therapist and tell them what you have been through and maybe they can help you understand if it’s actually anxiety or not. Then you can better understand things from there. Also make sure you go to someone with a PhD, not a masters.

anxiety can cause all your symptoms but one thing..Did the Doctors do a thyroid panel test on you?
Find out if you don’t know because alot of your symptoms also sound like a thyroid disorder..and have they checked all your hormone levels GOOD LUCK TO YOU I HOPE THEY FIND THE ANSWER FOR YOU
Doctors suck, but it sounds like you are already finding that out. it is written in your chart now that you are anxiety prone and they right you off as a nutcase.
The truth is, anxiety could be causing these problems, or it could be any one of 100 other things, e.g. Lymes disease, lead pain poisoning, etc.
Usually as time goes on something will reveal itself. in the mean while, stop worrying about it (easier said than done i know), exercise, eat right, and keep going back to the doctors.
Don’t, and i repeat NO NOT try to diagnose yourself on the internet. It will only lead to worse anxiety.
