Have you ever tried massage therapy? I know you might feel exhausted all the time, and at times you might not feel like doing a thing, but some light exercise might help keep you going, something that wont make you feel worse. Massage therapy is recommended to relax the patient, decrease muscle tone (spasm), prevent joint stiffness, help you with range of motion. Is good just to go for 1/2 hr treatment at least twice a week, you don't want to get more tired that you need to.
You might want to find maybe a school of massage therapy around you and up in the clinic of the school the prices are very inexpensive, compare to the spa outside.
Hope it works and hope you feel better
Good health :)

actually I have a family member who is living with MS and he definatelly is having a hard time with the pain, I think that with the herbal side you should ask a professiona who specializes in it because you don't want to take the wrong herb and you never know how the body will react and i think that you should do a little reasearch on your own and ask a doctor about it

I don't have MS, but I have a friend that does. I have never discussed pain or meds with her, but this I do know. She exercises regularly because she says it helps and helps her stay flexible as much as possible which helps with her symptoms also. She is so serious about her exercise time that she will not even answer the phone during that hour each day. Perhaps this will help you, I don't know. I understand about having military doctors, been there, done that! But it sounds like you must try them if the herbs aren't working for you anymore.
