Can anyone tell me if Arthritis can cause muscle pain, muscle spasms, tremors, sleep problems, etc?

My husband has been seeing neurologists for these symptoms (with varying diagnosis) but has also had a history or arthritis for years now. For the most part, he has lived with the pain (mostly because he had gotten off Celebrex as it is an NSAID and too many side effects). Could it be possible that it has gotten bad enough to cause these problems too?

really, when you have an arthritis problem you can suffer with your muscles and you can have problems for sleeping, due to the pain of your bones. When you suffer of arthritis your ones are changing in a bad way, because they are twisting. This fact affects many other things like your sleep because of the pain.

I have a very early Rheumatoid Arthritis. It started 3 years ago. For the first 10 months it felt like my blood was carbonated and I felt sick day in and day out. I was taking two Excedrin and two Ibuprofen every 4 hours. Be careful some of these can cause liver damage. I reached that point. My sleep was down to 4 to 6 hours per night.

The first joints to go were my knees (previously damaged in falls) It attacks damaged joints. For me it is not the bones but the tissue around them. After one bout of PREDNIZONE it moved to my wrists. Eleven months later and another bout of PREDNIZONE it moved to my spine very low back and upper back

Then I started with the RHEUMATOLOGIST, they put me on
SULFASALAZINE morning and night. I am on the muscle relaxant CYCLOBENZAPRINE at night and sleep like a baby for 8 hours now. I have also been on Hydrocodone for 3 years but am now nearly off since taking the newest meds.

So the last two have been enormously helpful. I would strongly suggest he see a Rheumatologist for a diagnosis.

Start from scratch with one and let them see if he tests for
an auto immune disorder. An autoimmune disorder breaks down your immunity so your body attacks its self causing tremendous pain and general sickness. It shows up in many ways.

Good Luck. I really know how rotten a person can feel.
