I have essential tremors but I’m young and don’t want to take inderal (propranolol) all of my life, also it makes me feel not myself a little and has unwanted side effects. Right now I have stopped taking the medicine, but it’s really difficult socially not to have any help.
So far I’ve tried: magnesium supplements, B-100 complex (with 100mcg B12), daily exercise, yoga, kava (great but expensive). Any ideas would be great!
If this drug has so many side effect like Asthenia,sweating,nausea,decreased appetite,somnolence,dizziness,insomina,tremor,nervousness,ejaculatory disturbance,and other genital disorders why keep prescribing this medication to people if it is going to make you worse..
Question #1: has anyone been prescribe this medication in the past ?
Question #2: has anyone been feeling these side effects like I have ?
i think this medication should be taking off the market because since taking it i feel worse than before
Is there an holistic or natural way to get the same results. I’ve been taking this medicine for a couple of weeks and was reading some possible side effects. The two that I have had are increased hunger and tremors.
I’m 46 and have had Parkinson’s for about a year. My main symptom is a tremor in my left hand and arm. I have found medication that helps alot but I would still prefer a vitamin or something natural if there’s anything out there that might help.
My NP recommended I try magnesium supplements to help with tremor and palpitations. The brand I am taking is Nature Made. It’s Magnesium Oxide, 250 mg. The thing is, it is causing me SEVERE nausea and heartburn. It’s awful. Is this common? Will it go away? What should I do?

My mom has a condition called orthostatic tremor. It just means that she can’t stand in one place for very long or she trembles and has to sit down. It’s different than what’s called “essential tremor“. She has NO problems walking, only when she stands in one spot.
She’s tried taking the standard drugs for this, but they are all basically sedatives that cause her to be drowsy and feel “drugged out”. Is there anything natural out there that might help?

Do you take the meds?Or are you copping with it via herbs?
I took the meds for about 2 months when I was first having real problems,but I felt run down.Went herbal 9 years ago.For the past 8 months I have been having tremors and a great deal of pain.Is it time to go back to the meds?Wish I could talk to my Doc,but I now have military insurance.They treat you like a number.I never see the same doc twice.
It is a moderate shaking, and the doctor said that medicine would not be effective. He said it will get worse. Any help on slowing it down would also be helpful. Thanx!

Almost every day I constantly have the shakes or tremors in my hands. THe condition isn’t extremely bad, but annoying to me. Are there any vitamins or minerals which help with tremors or hand shakes?
