I am thinking of starting a small business?

I was diagnosed with a disease called ‘essential tremor‘ a few yrs ago and asked to retire. I am now 50 and want to go back to work. Whenever I mention the disability, the potential employers run for cover. So, I am thinking of starting a “handyman business”. Anybody have success stories they can pass along in this niche or any other for that matter.
Thanks for your time-
Oh yes- ‘essential tremor‘- my hands shake

Well first off you shouldn’t mention your disability to potential employers unless it is severe enough so they will notice it during the interview. You might want to look into a franchise, I know the Handyman Connection is one that might interest you. Sometimes starting a small business through a franchise group is much easier than going it alone.
Nobody can stop you to start your own
business. This is the beauty of our country.
I see only two questions that only you can answer…1–Are you a good handyman, good enough to go professional? and 2–
Will the shaking of your hands allow you to do a good work? If the answer is yes, go ahead. Put an add in your local paper and wait for the phone to ring. If you don’t believe the add works, just check the paper every day and you see the same people advertising their business every day, year after year…GOOD LUCK…
