Is there any hope for someone with tremors to lessen them or have them stop all together?

I know why I have them (mild cerebral Palsy) but I don’t know if there is any ways for them to be next to none existant. I was curuious and any information is appriciated.
I saw a TV show some months back about an older lady who shook so bad in both hands she was unable to brush her teeth, pour a glass of water, etc. She had brain surgery, awake the whole time, never felt anything and after the first surgery, the tremors stopped in one hand. She was so thrilled they did the other side a few months later and now she is tremor free. They disconnected the wires that were causing the tremors.
