My 2 year old son has “tremors of an unknown origin” What could be causing this?

tremor
Jamie

About once a week, my sons hands will become shaky, kind of like some older people. Then, about once a month, sometimes more, it gets really bad. His whole body trembles, (not a seizure.) It feels like it comes from deep inside. His heart rate speeds up, and he usually doesn’t want to stand during the bad ones. Sometimes there is fever, sometimes not. The minor ones, he plays right through. He has had an EEG done. That was normal. Bloodwork a few times, that has all been normal. His doctor is starting to think it has to do with muscles and/or his heart. We go back to the nuerologist in 1 and 1/2 months, but he seemed skeptical that anything was even wrong. His regular doctor finally saw a video. That’s whats making her think muscle or heart. I’m tired of waiting. I need some ideas I can possible suggest at our next visit.

Yeast Infection No More

Call St. Judes hospital (they have specialty pediatric doctors that donate their time) and see if you can schedule a second opinion. If it was my child, that’s what i would do.

I’m terribly sorry to hear of what your son, and you, are going through. I’m not a doctor but I have a Master’s degree in Holistic/Natural Medicine and have learned a great deal about neurological sypmtoms and their relationship with allergies. Has your son ever had a hair analysis or allergy tests done? People who are characterized as Autistic, ADD, experience Seizures, Rheulatoid Arthritis, and SO MANY OTHER conditions are actually suffering from great allergies. Allergies to toxins in the air, foods, food preservatives, dairy products, wheat, sugar, mold, vitamins, cleaning products in the home, EVERYTHING! A baby may be born very very sensative to the world but as a baby they cannot tell you that something doesn’t feel right. So as time goes by the sensativity dulls due to the body being bombarded by the ‘offenders’. By the time the child is old enough to tell you that something bothers them, the body has suppressed the simple symptoms (headache, fatigue, etc.) and have now gone deeper inside the body causing said mental difficulties, seizures, digestive disorders, and so on. So I would reccomend finding a chiroprator that works with allergies as a place to start. That chiropractor should also be able to give you information about a hair analysis to get to the route of the issue. You may want to check out LL Magnetic Clay. I am in no way affiliated with this company, but have used their products to relieve the toxins in my body and reccommend it to everyone. You may want to look into it. The web address is:. Best of luck to you and your son!

Hello…the regular EEGs don’t always catch seizures. Its best to have a 24 hour video EEG and maybe that will catch one. Does something happen right before this happens? Is he stressed out before these episodes?

    Apart from seizures
Thyroid disease, metabolic screens for amino acids, lactate and pyruvate. Urinary Copper and ceruloplasmin for wilsons disease. MRI of the brain for structural abnormalities in the white matter or neoplasms
Take the video pic to the office next visit
