Go somewhere else. My grandpa died from Parkinson's. DO some research of your own and doctors dont like to be told there wrong but bring it up and ask questions to the doctors once you know what your talking about see if they know also. But if he has this disease the meds. are important to take. My step-grandma(bitch) never gave my poppy his meds. i believe that had something to do with his rapid downfall...it was hard to watch him go threw it...Do some research and get a second opinion~Good luck~

Get a second opinion. There are many Alzheimer experts in larger academic/university hospitals, so request that someone else see and evaluate him.

With a serious diagnosis like Alzheimer's disease, NO reputable doctor should give you a hard time about wanting another opinion. If they do, then that should be a red flag that you want to go somewhere else anyway.
