For the last year my 39 yr old active wife’s health has declined to; to exhausted to get off the couch. Every test she takes they find some little problem. Ok quick list of issues. Most drastic 6 months ago her weight was 135 (5’6) size 8. As of Jan 1 09 119 size 4 (still loosing too). This is after holiday meals, and well lots of fast food because I don’t cook much. She will bruise all over her legs, and she can feel a popping under her skin where a bruise will show up later. She is exhausted all the time, her eye sight will go fuzzy on her for no reason, migraines, muscle lumps in arms, and legs that are hard to rub out. Swollen glands under her arm pits, sometimes groin area, sometimes swelling will happen right below her neck on her chest. Sometimes it will be 7 or more days before she can have a bowl movement, even with fiber. At those points even her skin hurts. She gets out of breath easy, and tires easy. Sometimes she has tremors in her arms where they shake. She was given b12 shot, tested for thyroid, AC1, and myacemia gravis. The last doctor tried to tell us it is in her head. But I have seen this decline, this is real. She has some good days that she runs herself ragged on because she is afraid of the next day being a bad one. She is not depressed because if she can’t walk she tries to paint or write to keep her mind sharp. She is just doing everything via couch or bed.
Her aunt died this year of ALS that took doctors 10 years to figure out, and now my wife is scared she has it too.. Please help if you can.
My wife thinks Lupus too. But we are stuck within the bounds of our HMO PCM staff and not well off enough to pay out of pocket else where.
oh forgot to mention.. she runs random fevers, and she seized so bad from just a 101 temp I had to call 911..
seeking something deeper that Psy Dr. we have done that.. they care less than regular doctors. They just want her to try psy meds to see if they help. but we risk adding symptoms. lymphnodes under her armpits are as big as walnuts under left side today.. and as far as we can tell so is glad on her chest too.. Lupus fits but so did cronic fatigue..

I had been taking synthroid for a little over a year. A couple of months ago I went off all meds to clean out my system. I wasn’t aware of any contraindications for abruptly discontinuing synthroid. Since then I started to lose my hair, I have tremors and my skin is very dry. Can these symptoms be connected?

Help with Angina

I had social anxiety for a few years and began to think I might have essential tremor when I figured that I had neck tremor more severe than most other social phobias do and that about 1/3 of ppl with ET also have SA. Plus, the tremor doesn’t go away even when I’m not nervous.(although it gets less severe) But it’s weird that I’m the only one who noticed my head trembles. Even my neurologist said there seems to be no sign of ET. I don’t want to care about ET, but it just makes me embarrassed. I tried CBT and about every meds there is for SA(most of which are also for ET), and the only option I have left is botox(except brain surgeries). But since I’m not diagnosed with ET(although I’m sure it is), my neurologist can do nothing about it…. What am I to do??

Angina Info

my kitten has hydrocephalus, been on omeprazole (sporatically) and prednisone. Both adjusted to his weight…now he has developed tremors. Is this the disease or the meds? Are there other options for treatment?
I have hand raised this kitten since birth, he is happy, he isn’t in pain. If the pain was there, I would put him down. But with the help of my vet and the neurology vet clinic we have come up with this option to control the level of fluid. I was just wondering on other options. Putting him to sleep, is not an option at this point.

I did the radiation therapy and am on a replacement hormone. My tremors have not stopped however. The experts say it should have stopped after the radiation. Am I the only person who still has problems?

i could be sitting or even laying down in the bed and all of a sudden my body will shake like some one put my hand in an electric socket. no it doesnt hurt it is like a nerve got hit and sometimes it will be two in a row. only serious answers please, i am just curious to what it is if even it would have something to do with this neuro disease i deal with. or even with that why i just sit and bounce my leg up and down. like i am rocking a baby on one leg it goes up and down without me even knowing i am doing it
no i dont drive but the neuro disease is myasthenia gravis, not seizures or anything. and the meds i am on are mestinon, prednisone, cellcept, potassium. those are the main ones. myasthenia gravis is a neuromuscular illness in similarity to muscular dystrophy it weakens your involuntary muscles at excess usage or too much anticholinesterase prohibitors to the nerve endings when not getting the message to do what the brain tells it to do. sometimes can be stress or too much heat or virus or illness that would exacerbate it or even meds need to be adjusted. thank you for your concern on the illness. the jerks are not to throw my body but enough to be noticed by me.
