Need answers on this health issue

justme

It all started about a month or so ago. My husband began having horrible chest pains and was sure he was having a heart attack. He went to the doctor and was told it was anxiety attacks (no tests were ran). He was given a prescrition for Lorazapam. This didn’t help and the pains were getting worse. He was being awoken in the middle of the night from them they were getting so bad. He went back to the doctor and was then told that it was hypokalmia. The doctor advised my husband to drink Ensure. The pain was getting worse and was now accompanied by other syptoms including rapid heart rate, nausea, dizziness, shaky hands, fatigue, confusion and weight loss (unexplained.) He was then referred to a cardiologst and multiple tests were ran and he was told his heart was fine. He was then given Paxil and told it was panic attacks. Since then he has gotten signifiacantly worse. New symptoms are pain in the spine, still the original pain in the chest (only getting worse each day). He is still waking up at night with these pains. He is also suffering slight tremors in the hand, headaches, nausea, feels like he is going to pass out when he yawns, unsteady balance, insomnia, extreme weakness (he can barely grip and hold onto things and feels like his knees are going to give out), fatigue, loss of appetite, and tonight he said he felt like his body was on fire and he passed out. He is currently in Iraq and does not know how long he was passed out as no one was around him. His doctors are now saying it could be a thyroid problem and they have ordered the following blood tests to be ran tomorrow: CBC, Chem Panel 12, TSH T-3 and TSH T-4. Any advice anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated. His resources are limited and we need to try to steer the doctors in the right direction.

If this drug has so many side effect like Asthenia, sweating, nausea, decreased appetite, somnolence, dizziness, insomina, tremor, nervousness, ejaculatory disturbance, and other genital disorders why keep prescribing this medication to people if it is going to make you worse..
Question #1: has anyone been prescribe this medication in the past ?
Question #2: has anyone been feeling these side effects like I have ?
i think this medication should be taking off the market because since taking it i feel worse than before

Anxiety and Panic Attacks

Zoloft “overdose” if that’s what you call it ?

tremor
Alyssa

On saturday, I took half a pill too much of Zoloft. That night I was awaken by nausea, dizziness, and tremors (all symptoms of zoloft overdose). All three continued throughout the day, slowly abating until today-where I am only left with a slight tremor. I’m guessing that I’m not going to drop dead at any moment, but are health issues likely to arise from HALF a pill? Cash is tight, and a trip to the doctor is a pain the neck and the wallet. Since my symptoms are leaving, should i be concerned?

Angina and Diet

How long does it take to recover from lithium toxicity?

tremor
Jynx

I had my levels checked Friday and they found that they were high and told me to stop taking my meds until they run more tests on Monday. I had been having only three symptoms of the toxicity, and they were: nausea, tremors, and drowsiness. The tremors are gone, but the other two are still there and it’s been almost three days of me drinking tons of water and taking it easy. I’m wondering if this is normal or if I should go to the hospital.
