Geez mate, that sounds like you’re stressing and need to get some magnesium rich foods into you…. magnesium is known as the antistress mineral and is essential for healthy nerve and muscle functioning and for heart health ………… foods rich in magnesium are leafy and green vegies, wholegrain breads and cereals and cold water fishes such as tuna, salmon, whiting ………. actually these fishes are also rich in Tryptophan will help induce natural sleep and aid in reducing anxiety and tension.

Avoid caffeine for a few hours before bedtime too.

other foods rich in Tryptophan are ~ bananas, cottage cheese, milk, meat, fish, turkey, bananas, dried dates, peanuts and all protein rich foods …………. turkey sandwiches for supper may just do the trick buddy……… :0)

Have a soothing cup of organic loose leaf chamomile tea ~ this could be the sleep remedy you need too♥

The tea bag and commercial varieties of herbal teas such as chamomile tea could never be of any therapeutic value as they have had so much of the essential oils pulverised from them ………. only organic will do buddy ♥

Also, try putting a few drops of pure essential lavender oil into a warm bath and soak in that for 15 minutes just before bedtime ~ the lavender oil is a great natural stress reliever and will relax you enormously ♥

Take a multi B complex tablet as well… get one including all the B’s ie: B1, B2 B3, B5, B6 and B12 as they work best synergistically (together)……. do not take any of the B complex of vitamins individually, but rather as a whole complex, unless specifically instructed to by a nutritionally oriented physician or naturopath.

The B complex of vitamins is essential for healthy neural, digestive and immune system functioning.

The B complex of vitamins is a water soluble complex and as such our bodies can neither store or produce them. Therefore we need to ingest them on a daily basis or suffer the consequences as you unfortunately are……… please try to relax and at the very least get some fish or leafy greens into you♥

hope this helps you a bit ♥

    cheers

it does sound simillar to anxiety with you hearing your heartbeat is it faster than normal?
do not have anything with caffeine in after lunch time, it seems as though your body is all keyed up and strung out from the day, before you go to bed do some slow breathing, have a long warm bath, try and do something you know will relax you, if you can’t sleep don’t get stressed, pick up a book for a while or get a glass of water, useful things to try and aid sleep are valerian tea, there are also over the counter sleep aids that are non addictive

Sometimes our lifestyle (and it’s problems) prevents us from getting our proper share of sleep. Analyse your situation. Do you have any problem of any kind…which you keep thinking about..especially at night? If so divert your thoughts to other avenues which will also relax you. Read a book. Have sex with your partner..quite relaxing (of course s/he has to be also willing..other wise if you force the issue you won’t be able to sleep with the guilt)…The operative word here is “divert” your thoughts. Exercise also helps.
